Thought blob: Changing homes, ideas or mind. Drastic? What builds up to this? Letting go at each level. Celebrating the change, we see this historically and culturally.
Intro / Topic: Drastic changes moving residences, changing ideas. Changing jobs. Pull back your energy to rechannel it in your new move. Let go to let things flow.
An exercise to do when you leave a place for good. Stand inside or outside of the place. Put your hands on your heart in a V formation with your wrists resting gently on your chest. Open your wrists and close them as you say goodbye to this place. Breathe in and out. You can do this with a place that you have already left. Just take a walk in your mind through out it.
Meditation: Confidence and letting go to let in flow. Breathe in and out. Read out loud to yourself “It is very difficult to do what I am doing. It is the best choice for me. This location no longer is needed by me. I honor it for giving me a place in the past for my life lessons and experiences but a new place await my growth.”
Take a deep breath. You did well. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder and a butterfly hug.
Discussion: Feeling Safe during and at the final change. This is very important. This will also being on new desires that you can pursue after the current one is finished.
What happens when you feel stuck at your past location? When you miss your past location or you feel regret and sadness. This could be because you don’t miss the location per say but more you miss the “you” that lived in the location.
I’ve moved many times in my life. This last move I’ve made was sad and emotional for me. After a year it got a little bit easier but when I came upon a picture of a friend I had back then I became sad. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t the friend I missed but more like my life felt easier back then. I had many stores in close locations unlike now and I knew what was going on. This made me realize that I need to get some more comfort stuff for myself where I live now.
Closing Resources: Genesis 2:24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. ***I am pro lgbtq so this marriage quote , to me, includes everyone.
